Hoover F59149RM RB SpinScrub SteamVac Carpet Shampooer Review

Worked great for 1 year. Now the hose sprays water all over the steam cleaner. Thank god I didnt get electrocuted. Once I didnt even know water was squirting out until I smelled smoke coming from the steam cleaner. The hose is not clogged and there are no holes. The hose that is squirting water is the hose that connects to the steam cleaner. The bottom of the cleaner still works. Just not the hose.I have a warranty from walmart and am returning it tomorrow before the steam cleaner kills me.

Tenergy Replacement Battery for iRobot 400 series Roomba 4905 Review

The Tenergy replacement battery that I purchased worked well for 7 months and then failed.Unfortunately, the warranty is only for 6 months. The vendor I purchased from (Battery Superstore) offered free shipping on my next purchase, but was firm on the 6 month warranty.

Bottom line - The Tenergy batteries seem to have short lifespans. If they typically lasted a year, I suspect the warranty would have been made to match.

Shop Vac 9069800 Vacuum Turbo Nozzle Review

I thought this item would not be that good since it is just air powered but I could not have been more wrong. The simple design makes it very reliable and it takes quite a bit to bog it down especially when used with a large shop vac.It works good with my tiny 2 gallon vac all the way up to my big 20 gallon model. The main thing I use it for is to clean my carpeted stairs where it is a real pain to use my upright vac.

Replacement Brushes for Roomba® 500 Series (6 Brushes Total) Item #82001 Review

I gave this one two stars since they actually do save you 45 pennies in the end, but the MSRP on the iRobot site is 39.99 (+ $9.95 shipping), NOT 59.99.

So, what they did was have the item with "free" super saver shipping, after raising the price $20, then giving a "discount" of $10.50, which means your actual savings is .125%, not "18%".

Normally I'd save the $.45, but this was so sneaky, that I will be giving the manufacturer my business.

Roomba Brush Cleaning Tool Item #11265 Review

Don't bother with this little piece of plastic.I have a Roomba 560.The comb didn't do squat for cleaning any of the brushes. It was too big, lint and hair would not catch and pull out of the brushes. The razor might have bee useful for cutting the ropes of hair Roomba winds up around his brushes, except the worst ropes always wind up around the ends of the brushes where the razor can't reach.Do yourself a favor, skip this and buy a pair of nail scissors instead. They do a great job. That's what I use to clean my Roomba.

Hoover WindTunnel Replacement Brush Roller Review

I love my Hoover Windtunnel Vacuum, but unfortunately, it eats belts on a regular basis.Being unable to find the parts locally, I searched Ebay and found United Vacuum.Their site was easy to navigate and find the parts that I needed. The parts were very cheap compared to other sites that I visited.I received the parts quickly and the belts fit great. I was up and running in about 5 minutes.Unfortunately, the replacement brush roll that I ordered had been damaged in shipping (thanks UPS).I was pretty busy that week, so I waited till the weekend to email their customer service.I figured that someone would reply in a few days.Boy was I wrong, a customer service representative called me in about 20 Minutes! This was on a Saturday! He let me know they were sending me a replacement brush roll immediately.Wow!If you need vacuum cleaner parts, buy them here.Don't waste your time and money anywhere else.

Original Kirby G5 Cord - Dark Purple (192097) Review

I was a bit upset at having to replace a main item on my G5, and a bit uneasy about the replacement cord (along with anything else) was just a part of planned obsolescence. When I changed the cord I compared them side by side.I would DEFINITELY rate the new/replacement as a lifetime rated cord. The strain relief is built right into the cord...the old, had no strain relief, and the cord was too easy to pull out of the plug. ( NOT that one should EVER pull on the "cord"to unplug, but, sometimes youngins don't do as theyare told.)The new cord is built to handle those accidental mishaps.

Roomba, Scooba KeepOut Strips Fits All Roomba and Scooba Products, Robot Add On's Part 6018-1001 Review

I got these stripes today and checked them out immediately. I had hoped for a heavier, more flexible material with a rubber sole beneath, which would adjust itself through it's own weight and the rubber adherence on the floor: that would have been a simple, effective and really mobile solution.
But ufortunately they are quite lightweight with just adhesive strips beneath, which didn't even last a minute on my hard floor:
At the first contact with my roomba they loosened and at the second contact they lost their grip totally, so that the roomba at one time pushed them aside and run directly into the "protected" area (whereas one stripe clung to the roomba) and the other time it simply drove over them i a quite fast pace.
So, without attaching the stripes they don't work and the adhesive strips don't last more than a minute. That is really a pitty. On the other hand the customer service is extremely good and friendly and the keep- off mat works just fine. Therefore 3 stars ....

Black and Decker VF100H Replacement Filter for HEPA 15.6-Volt Cyclonic DustBuster Review

Thought I'd pass this tip on to other users of the Dustbuster cyclonic models ...

I have the 15.6 volt Hepa model, CHV1500. Needed to get a filter so I called Black and Decker to see if the VF100 (instead of the VF100H) would fit my model. They said yes, but told me I could also buy part 244631-00 instead. (BTW, this is the pleated paper filter.) I asked what the difference was, and they said the only difference was that VF100/VF100H comes in a fancy retail box. But part #244631-00 just comes in a plastic bag. Another difference ... and this is the best part ... the 244631-00 costs about $3 each versus more than 3 times as much for the retail boxed version. So I ordered two of the 244631-00 secondary filters, plus a plastic washable pre-filter as I wanted an extra one of those too. The part number for the pre-filter is 598083-00 and costs about $1.25 or so. With shipping, the entire order came to just $11.41! Shipping wasonly about $3 or so. If you order the more expensive boxed filters, shipping will be $7.99 insteadsince the total dollar amount of your order will be more. So if you want filters, don't get the boxed ones. Call Black & Decker at 888-678-7278 and order the unboxed parts. I can assure you these parts are identical and work fine. My order just arrived today (took about 1 week to get here) and I just switched out the entire filter assembly that came with my dustbuster with the new pre-filter and secondary filter. Works fine, and now I can still use my dustbuster while I wash the original filter assembly and let it dry for 24 hours.

I'm not exactly sure what each part costs as I ordered over the phone and the shipping slip didn't have prices, but I checked my credit card account and the total charge was as they told me it would be -- just $11.41 for two secondary filters and one pre-filter plus shipping! So the prices I listed above are close. Order through that phone number and you'll save money too!
