Disposable Allergen Filtration Bags for Commercial WindTunnel, 3 Pack Review

First the complaint - these bags are awfully pricey considering that they fill up so fast. The bag is too big for the compartment, so you have to fold it over at the top and bottom to get it to fit into the allotted space. Despite having owned this model vacuum for seven years, I still need three hands to get the corners of the over-sized bag tucked into place before slamming the compartment shut.

Changing the bag is a dirty bit of business, because when you pull the old bag off, all that super-fine dust at the top goes *POOF* and escapes from the bag's opening . We've taken to putting the vacuum on the back porch before opening up the bag compartment to keep dust out of our home.

I see a name brand competitor has come up with a solution to this by putting a little trap door thingie by the bag's opening, so when you pull the bag off the vacuum, all the dust doesn't fly out of the bag and go *POOF*.

Okay - the positive - these Hoover paper bags do a decent job of trapping fine dust particles, but I do wish they'd figure out how to make bag removal and installation easier. Or just make the bag a different shape so you're not contorting it to get it into the allotted space.

More recently, I've started using Filtrete (3M) bags. Made of cloth, they're lined with an electrostatically charged media which captures dust and dirt down to .3 microns. Because they're cloth (instead of stiff paper, like these bags), they're much easier to install into the Hoover vacuum.

On another note, I keep seeing that these bags are offered at this site under the heading of "used". This seems a little bizarre!

Hoover 15" OEM Roller Brush For WindTunnel, WidePath, Fusion, Spirit, Bagless, TwinChamber & Many Other Models(Alt # HO-48414113, HO-48414117) Review

The item that arrived fits my machine but it is NOT what was pictured. It is made of wood and is black, not the grey plastic of the OEM brush.Appears to work but creates a squeaking noise.

HOOVER COMPANY HEPA Y Bags for Hoover Upright Cleaners, 2 Bags/Pack, 12 Packs/Box Review

I use these bags with the Hoover Tempo model vacuum. They work GREAT!While I do not have allergies, I hate dust and dust coming from my vacuum is just not acceptable in any form.

I have used this vacuum and these bags for about six months now and I have gone thru two bags. Not too bad if you ask me.I have not noticed any dust coming from either the bag when replacing it nor from the vacuum itself during use.

I am buying more of the as we speak!

Hoover WindTunnel Replacement Brush Roller Review

I love my Hoover Windtunnel Vacuum, but unfortunately, it eats belts on a regular basis.Being unable to find the parts locally, I searched Ebay and found United Vacuum.Their site was easy to navigate and find the parts that I needed. The parts were very cheap compared to other sites that I visited.I received the parts quickly and the belts fit great. I was up and running in about 5 minutes.Unfortunately, the replacement brush roll that I ordered had been damaged in shipping (thanks UPS).I was pretty busy that week, so I waited till the weekend to email their customer service.I figured that someone would reply in a few days.Boy was I wrong, a customer service representative called me in about 20 Minutes! This was on a Saturday! He let me know they were sending me a replacement brush roll immediately.Wow!If you need vacuum cleaner parts, buy them here.Don't waste your time and money anywhere else.

18 Hoover WindTunnel HEPA Type Y Cloth Vacuum Bags - Allergen HEPA filtration with Closure - Compare With Hoover Part # 4010100Y, 4010801Y Review

I personally prefer bags over the canister vacuums, but bags are not cheap. In this instance though these bags perform just as good as any hoover product and are made here in the usa. I have a dog that loves to shed and a 3 year old god son that tracks all kinds of things into the house and these bags trap all the allergens that they manage to bring into the home. My white carpets are holding up really well and these clean beautifully.

Hoover Type W2 Allergen Filter Bag - Part #401010W2 Review

After buying a great vacuum Hoover U831900 Windtunnel 2 Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner,I found myself searching for these bags at the stores and sometimes they ran out and it can be tiring walking through a 100,000 square foot store (well these stores might not be a mile long but it feels that way).

At my age, instead of walking through the department stores, it was just so much easier to type W2 Vacuum bag in Amazon, hit one clickand with Amazon Prime, the package shows up at my doorstep two day later with zero shipping charges. Much better than going to the store.

These bags are the same that you can find at the store and are made by hoover so they're great and they fit perfect.

Hoover also offers a HEPA bag version which is better Hoover #401080W2 2PK WT2 Replacement Hepa Bag but they're much pricier. You get 3 of these filter bags for less than the price of 1 HEPA bag.If I had pets I'd go for the HEPA bag or for deep cleaning the house but for run of the mill vacuuming, I go with these filter bags.

Vacumming enough of a chore that I really don't want to search high and low for vacuum bags.Save yourself the hike and just one click these.

Hoover WindTunnel Agitator Belt, 2-Pack, 40201160 Review

I purchased a Hoover "Tempo":[[ASIN:B0009ONZ8G Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum], and it needs belts periodically...'heard they're a bit of trouble to lay hands on locally, so I 'stocked-up' on Amazon.

The product "Number" 40201160 is a bit confusing, and the description should be made to denote that product "Number" 40201160 is Hoover's product number for a PACKAGE OF TWO 38528-033 or 38528033, belts.

Having received shipment, and confirming that these were the exact replacement item, I have to say that this is a 'no-brainer' with Amazon's offer for free shipping.

Hoover HEPA Filter For Elite Rewind Part # 59157055 Review

First off, this is not an OEM filter (not manufactured by Hoover). It is manufactured by Crucial Vacuum. But that's not a problem because these are actually much better than the OE part.

These are true HEPA standard filters and fit VERY tightly to eliminate filter bypass. The reviews that say they don't fit are incorrect. They fit, just very snugly. It'll take a few tries to assemble the filter canister.

The vacuum already has a HEPA exhaust filter, but that doesn't protect the mechanical internals from dust buildup (whereas these do,) and it's not zero bypass so fine particles will re-enter the room.

Also, these are WASHABLE with water! (Visit the Crucial Vacuum website for washing instructions.)This doubles the filter life to 6 months and makes these much cheaper than the OE filters.

I'm very pleased with this surprise, I just wish the Amazon review accurately described the brand.
