This replacement filter works well with the Black and Decker Cordless Vacuum CHV1568. The manual says to replace the filter every 6-9 months but I seem to use up the filters much quicker even with washing the filters.
To Beth: The vacuum uses a single filter. And there is a filter housing (that holds the filter) that must be re-attached to the vacuum motor housing. The old filter should be pulled out from the housing and replaced with a new filter. The filter housing has 3 holes that go back onto the vacuum motor housing. Basically, you should be doing the opposite of Figure G to re-attach the filter housing -- fit the filter housing into place over the 3 pegs (2 on top, 1 on bottom) and twist counter-clockwise.

This is a hard to find product, but it was cheap and easy to locate on Amazon.com.I did not realize it was washable when I threw out my old one. This is a great product.
The cost of this replacement filter with shipping and handling included is almost as much as the wet/dry vac originally cost!
The power seems to last even longer than the original battery that came with the vac- perhaps because technology has advanced in a few years, or... who knows? The only downside (so far; I've only had it for a couple months) is that it doesn't fit as tightly, snug, well, or "completely" as the original. So far that hasn't been a problem, but I worry that down the road - if it shifts in the way it sits - it won't fit in the charger, hanging on the wall, like it does now.
This filter is so hard to find! That's great I could find it here at amazon. Simple and effective!
Nothing complicated here ... I needed a filter for the above referenced cordless vacuum sweeper and Amazon had it and got it to me.Overly expensive ... I'll do a bit more research next time for a better price. But no complaints
