I have owned this vacuum for about a year now.Installed it myself using regular drywall anchors.You can flush mount the system but I elected to not too because my wife did not trust me to cut a hole in the wall.If you want to flush mount the product you can, it comes with a template for sketching out the cuts.I also owned two of the indoor units in my old house we used as a "central" vac system just moving the hose up and down the stairs to connect to the units.
Its a great product and I love having one in the garage.I dont wash cars very often but with 4 kids and a wife constantly on the go I do like to vacuum them out weekly.Driving down to the local wash joint with 2 pounds of quarters blows and being able just to walk into the garage and vacuum the car is awesome.
